Lush prince charming shower gel | Review

Hello lovelies,
Today I'm going to be reviewing one of the shower gels from lush. I got a small bottle of the rapine charming shower gel to try and I've got mixed feelings about it. This is part of the Valentine's range that lush are currently selling, if you want to see the other products in the range then you can see that here.

Here's what lush say on the website about the prince charming shower gel "Charming to meet you! Now the pleasantries are over, why not be swept off your feet by fresh pomegranate juice and lashings of uplifting grapefruit oil? Soothing marshmallow root and Fair Trade vanilla pod infusion offset the zest with sweetness and Fair Trade organic cocoa butter softens skin. Really... this is the meet cute you've been waiting for.".

  • I  was really excited to try this shower gel because I've heard so many amazing review about it. I only got the 100g bottle because I didn't want to spend loads of money in case I didn't like the product. The smell is divine and I am a little bit obsessed with it. It smells write similar to the lover lamp bath bomb. You can see the review for that here. The colour of this outside the bottle is like neon pink which is really pretty but all it remind me of was acrylic paint, which is sort of what the texture felt like.

  • Even though I love  the smell of the shower gel I was really disappointed because I don't think it had a good lather to it. Like yes it did make some bubbles but it just didn't seem to have a lather like the snow fairy show gel does. I also found that once I had used this my skin felt so dry and papery. I normally only have this issue with the lush soaps and its never happened with a shower gel before. I would be curious to see what ingredient it is that has this affect on my skin.

  • I would be temped to buy this again just because I adore the scent but I cant see me spending money on it in shower gel form because of how it makes my skin feel. If they could put this scent into a face mask or a bath bomb with some Shea butter, that would be perfect. Its a shame because while everyone else loves this product I'm really disappointed that its made my skin feel like this. Luckily I had king of skin bar ready to make my skin feel gloriously soft and moisturised again.

Have you tried this shower gel? What did you think of it? Let me know in the comments.

    Lot of love,
    Chloe xxx
