Lush the kiss | Review

Hello lovelies,
Today I'm reviewing the lip scrub from lush called the kiss. I'm not one for using the lip products from lush normally but I wanted to try this one as I've been getting really dry lips because of the cold weather. This is from the valentines day range and you can buy it here.

Heres what it says on the lush website about the kiss lip scrub "Giving some sugar? Make sure you get some in return. This smoothing blend of fine sea salt, caster sugar and Fair Trade cocoa butter will soften the skin and leave a delicious taste on the lips. A little almond and mandarin oil sweetens, and the edible hearts? They're just for your enjoyment. Savour it all to yourself or share with your Valentine.".

  • I have mixed feelings about this product. The smell is so lovely and to me it smells like the love heart sweets. My issue is that the salt overpowers the sweet and it is just horrible and leaves a nasty taste. Also I have tried the bubblegum lip scrub because and that actually made my lips feel softer but this dried my lips out even more, maybe its because of the salt in it but after I used this my lips started to crack really badly. I wouldn't buy this again because I've had a bad experience with the product but the smell is really lovely. It would be great if they put this scent into one of the lip balms because I could see that selling really well.

  • I do think its a good scrub but maybe it just didn't work for me because of the weather where I live. When I applied the lip scrub it did make my lips feel a lot softer but because they dried out after, got cracked and started to bleed I'm worried it was because of the product. I think next time ill just stick to the bubblegum lip scrub or ill pair this one with one of lush's lip balms.

  • Well I hope you liked that very short blog post. There wasn't really much to say about this product but if you've tried it then I would be interested to hear what you thought of it. Let me know in the comments.

  • Lots  of love,
  • Chloe xxx
