Halloween movies |

Hello lovelies,
So tomorrow is the 31st October and that means that the weekend is going to be full of Halloween parties, trick or treaters and just general scariness. If you're like me then you won't have plans for Halloween and will probably just spend the weekend in fort of blankets and pillows, scaring the hell out of yourself. Here's my top 5 Halloween movies that you should watch.

Amusement  |
This film is split in to three stages, one for each women that has done wrong in the past. It all goes back to when they were kids and laughed at a young boy and were really disturbed to see what he found amusing. The scariest part is where the women goes to sleep when she's babysitting but she has to sleep in the clown room. If you have a phobia of clowns then this might not be for you, I hate clowns but I can't help but watch clown films. I know that doesn't really make sense but I love scaring myself. This is a really good film and has a really good back story to it.

House of wax |
I had never seen this film until last night. I really loved it because its a really jumpy film and its not like other horror movies because I don't think anyone could even imagine that something like this could even be possible. I watched the 2005 version and I really enjoyed it.

Nightmare on elm street |
Ive seen the newer version of this film and I loved it. Ive always been aware of what the film is about because there was a Simpsons episode where they reenacted the film. I love the whole concept of the film, the whole idea that you can't be protected in your dreams and that's when he'll come and kill you. I think that's just such a creepy yet genius concept and this film is definitely worth a watch.

Scream 1, 2, 3 and 4 |
If you're in the mood to pull an all nighter then you should watch all the scream films. My favourite has always been 3 as I like how it shows how her life has been since the murders. It also shows the Hollywood film stab 3 being made which is based on what happen to her. I love the scene where she's running through the set of her house trying to escape ghost face, its so tense and a great watch.

Would you rather? |
This film is a work of purer genius. It plays off the game would you rather and its really interesting to see just how far people will go for money. This girl needs money to pay for her brothers medical bills and she's invited to dinner at a mans house where they play the game. Her and a handful of others have to chose would they rather someone was shot or someone else was stabbed. Its things like that but it so well thought out and I loved every minute of this film.

Well I hope you liked my top 5 Halloween films. Whatever you do this year for Halloween if you celebrate it, have fun and be careful.

Lots of love,
Chloe xxx

Carrot and orange cupcakes |

Hello lovelies,
I made carrot and orange cakes last week and they went down a treat. Everyone that's tried them loves them and I'm really excited to dare the recipe with you. These are so simple to bake and are perfect for this time of year.

Ingredients |
  • Ingredients |
    175g light muscovado sugar.
    175ml sunflower oil.
    3 large eggs, lightly beaten.
    140g grated carrots.
grated zest of 1 large orange.
    175g self-raising flour.
    1 tsp bicarbonate of soda.
    1 tsp ground cinnamon.
    ½ tsp grated nutmeg.
    140g baking butter.
    280g icing sugar.
    Orange juice.
    12 walnuts.
    100g caster sugar.

Equipment |
Mixing bowl.
Cupcake tin.
Oven at 180c.
Piping bag with a round nozzle.
Cooling rack.

Step 1 |
Grate your carrots in a small bowl and then grate the zest of 1 orange. Put the orange to one side as you will need the juice of this later on.

Step 2 |
In your mixing put your sugar, oil and eggs. Mix them together until everything is well combined. It might smell a little weird but its fine, I thought this at first but when they are baked they taste and smell fantastic.

Step 3 |
Add your carrots and orange zest to this mix and combine it well. Make sure that the carrot and orange is spread evenly in the mix.

Step 4 |
Sift your flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and bicarb into your mixing bowl and then gently fold this into your carrot mix. Make sure that all the flour is mixed in as you don't want to have bits of uncooked flour in your cakes.

Step 5 |
I put my cake mix into a jug like this as I find it so much easier to measure out each cupcake. I also find that is a better option as its basically mess free when you pour it in. I hate it when bits of cake batter drip onto the pan so this is much better for me.

Step 6 |
Bake the cakes for around 20 minutes, if they are not cooked then just keep checking them every few minutes. The cakes will be ready when you insert a skewer and it comes out clean. When they're cooked, take them out and place on a cooling rack for a good 15minuts, maybe more.

Step 7 |
While you cakes are cooling you can make a start on the butter cream. Put your butter and icing sugar  into a mixing bowl and cream together. I then juiced the orange that I grated and added about 6tsp of the juice. It does loosen the button cream so be sure to add more icing sugar to get it the right consistency. Add as much or as little orange as you like, its just what your prefer.

Step 8 |
You don't need to but I decided to caramelised walnuts and make some buttons to decorate my cakes with. Put your caster sugar and 2tbsp of water into a pan and heat on low heat until the sugar has dissolved. When it has, turn the heat up high and then let it bubble away. When it turns a dark golden brown, take it off the heat and then put your walnuts in and swirl the pan to coat them. I would suggest getting a silicone mat to put them on. I used a silicon button mould to make my buttons, you could do whatever decoration you like.

Step 9 |
when your cakes have cool, grab your piping bag and do a swirl on each cupcake. You don't have to use a round nozzle but Ive lost my other ones so this is all I had. Yet again I was improvising, its what I do best. Decorate your cakes and let its time to enjoy them. I don't actually eat carrot cake so that meant that there was a lot of cake for my family. People at work also wanted me to bake for them and they really loved them as well.

Sweater weather tag |

Hello lovelies,
I was tagged to do this post by the lovely Carolyn who's blog you show all go and look at. I love her blog and I was so happy that she tagged me to do this. I love autumn and I think this tag is perfect for me.

Favourite candle scent?
I love the snowflake cookie scent from Yankee candle. Its so christmassy and really gets me in the mood for autumn.

Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
Hot chocolate all the way. I am typically British and love my tea but at this time of year, nothing beats a nice hot chocolate in a big mug. I love the caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks, with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top.

Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
I love a dark lip but I really can't pull that look off, so I prefer the winged eyeliner. Not that I can do winged eyeliner but I think it looks so pretty and I would love to be able to do it. Adele's eyeliner was perfect in her new music video, just saying.

Best fragrance for fall?
Fragrance for fall....I don't wear a lot of perfume because I'm not allowed to at work, I work with food so its something to do with that. I'm going to say that my best fragrance for fall is beyonces heat. I really love that and it makes me smell really nice.

What's the best Autumn memory you have?
I have so many good memories for autumn but if I had to pick it would be last year when I went out with my mum and my aunt. It so silly but also year we went out for a girly shopping day, we drank hot chocolates and just spent a really lovely day together. I love days like that because I used to do so much with my aunt when I was little and lives just got in the way of that.

What is autumn weather like where you live?
Freezing cold but really sunny. The weather in the UK can be like that which is a little annoying but id be complaining either wait.

Most worn sweater?
I don't really wear jumpers/sweaters but the most worn one would be my McFly memory lane tour one. Its really comfy and really soft. Perfect for rainy days.

What book(s) are you reading this Autumn?
Ive started so many books that its had to pin point just a few. Ive just finished reading Samara o'shea's loves me not. Now that was an amazing book and its really helped me with a lot. If I'm honest the books I'm reading are theory test books. My theory's this Friday and I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail, I'm trying my hardest to revise but its not looking great at the minutes.

Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
Jumping in leaf piles! I'm not that into football and I'm quite childish so the idea of jumping in a big pieces of crisp leaves is quite appealing.

Skinny jeans or leggings?
All years a skin tight on me, perks of having very chunky legs. I light a nice pair of skinny jeggings. I like that they just stretch with you. God bless the lovely person who made the elasticated waistband.

Chelsea boots or Uggs?
Uggs because there like slippers and I don't really go out. Obviously not real uggs, I'm not made out money. Just cheap pair of wanna be uggs from primark.

Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
I haven't tried it and honestly don't think it is.

Favourite fall-related quote?
"What if I fall? Oh but my darling what if you fly?" Is it fall relatable? probably not but it mentions fall so lets just be grateful for that.

What song really gets you into the fall spirit?
At the minute my life is just Adele's hello. I'm in love with this song so I feel like this has made me feel really fall-y (Not a word but on this blog yes it is). Anything Adele gets me into the fall spirit. I love Jamie Lawson's wasn't expecting that. Michael bibles Christmas album is definitely my go to album to get into the fall spirit.

I'm going to tag all my beau blogger friends, Lou and Izzy. If you've already done this tag then leave your link in the comments, I would love to read your answers.

Lots of love,

Lush Cyanide Pill |

Hello lovelies

This week I sorted out all my lush products. Before I did this I honestly didn't think I had a lot of lush products....Oh how wrong I was. I have about 15 products from normal lush, 12 form oxford street and all the Christmas range. Even I began to wonder if I had a bath bomb addiction but because of that, I've allowed myself to treat myself to a bath with the oxford street products. I wait to use these because I don't go up to London that often, therefore I don't have a chance to get the exclusive products.

I used the cyanide pill and it was beautiful. It sounds very odd when that sentence is taken out of context but basically this little yellow and white bath ballistic is something I could use again and again. Unfortunately for me I only got one and I'm a little heartbroken to be honest. If you follow me on instagram then you will see that I posted a short video of this bath ballistic and you can see what happened. I'll just wait here for a little moment while you all go and follow my instragm, its filled with lush pictures, food pictures and lots more. To be honest my instagram is a little awful but just go and see for yourself.

Here's what it said on the label "Caution! Drop this into the bath if you’re prepared to detonate the scents of intoxicating Majorcan almonds and rosewood from out Peruvian rain forest concession. Watch as a volatile stick of mercury silver breaks loose." It was really impressive in the bath and it just smelt gorgeous.

Ingredients |
Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Popping Candy, Perfume, Silver Glimmer Lustre (Corn Starch, Maltodextrin, Mica, Colour 77400, Potassium Aluminium Silicate, Titanium Dioxide), Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum), Cedarwood Oil (Cupressus funebris), Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeodora), Almond Essential Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Amara), Water (Aqua), Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Citronellol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 47005, Colour 45350, Colour 4700, Colour 17200, Colour 45410.

When I got out the bath I smelt like a Mr.Kipling's battenburg and I looked like a Christmas decoration. I was covered in glitter and that was certainly a good thing where I'm concerned. If you dont know what a battenburg is then its basically a delicious checker board cake wrapped in marzipan. I love this bath ballistic because when its in the bath it fizzes away to reveal a line of silver that just floats around your bath making it look so enticing.

Have you tried the cyanide pill yet? If you're near oxford street then I would recommend you pop in to see what you think of the store and to get your hand on this little beauty. Please remember that it will smell different in the shop because as we all know, lush is an incredibly overpowering scented shop but I'm guessing that's why we all love it. If you want to see my post of oxford street products then just click here.

Hello ||

Hello lovelies
There's not going to be a film review today because there's much bigger news. I'm sure you've all heard it by now, the queen of British music is back and my god she's back with an incredible song. If you live in England then you will know that on Sunday in the break for the X factor a snippet of the new song hello was played. It didn't say anything about Adele, when it would be out and basically left us all entranced by a thirty seconds clip of the UK's most awaited album in years.

Anyone who knows me will know that I'm a massive Adele fan. Her music is just so beautiful, relatable and she's just such a breath of fresh air. Adele has said that she didn't think anyone would notice her advert and that people wouldn't know it was her. How wrong she was, we all took to twitter  like the rest of the world. She's got such an iconic voice that it was clear that an new album was soon to emerge.

Hello was released today and it was first played on radio 1. Its not on iTunes to buy which is super exciting. She's also announced that her album, 25, will be release on the 20th November this year. I'm literally so excited for this. Any Adele fan will know that after the skyfall single she just dropped of the radar and went silent for three years. I'm so happy that we know have new Adele music. Her song hello is so beautiful. I was actually crying when I listened to it at 8am this morning, you can always count on an Adele song to have you crying like a baby.

The lyrics to hello are fantastic, if you haven't heard it then please all click the link below. Ill link her video of the song hello and I will leave the lyrics as well. If your like me then your probably already know all the lyrics and have played it well over thirty times. Adele might not be your cup of tea but for me, well she's just such an inspiration and she's brought so much happiness to my life through her music. I'm sure the rest of the world is just as excited to hear Adele new music just like us Brits.

Hello, it’s me
I was wondering
If after all these years
You’d like to meet
To go over
They say that time’s supposed to heal yeah but I ain’t done much healing

Hello, can you hear me?
I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be
When we were younger and free
I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet
There's such a difference between us
And a million miles

Hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times to tell you
I'm sorry, for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

Hello from the outside

At least I can say that I've tried to tell you
I'm sorry, for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

Hello, how are you?
It's so typical of me to talk about myself
I'm sorry, I hope that you're well
Did you ever make it out of that town
Where nothing ever happened?
It's no secret
That the both of us are running out of time

Hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times to tell you
I'm sorry, for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried to tell you
I'm sorry, for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

Ooooohh, anymore
Ooooohh, anymore
Ooooohh, anymore

Hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times to tell you
I'm sorry, for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried to tell you
I'm sorry, for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

Let me know what you think of her new song in the comments.

Coffee and walnut cake |

Hello lovelies,
Today I'm going to show you how I made my coffee and walnut cake. I actually made a video showing you how to make it, yes I actually uploaded something to youtube. You can see that video here.

Ingredients |
Cake ||

225g/8oz self-raising flour, sifted
1 tsp baking powder
100g/3½oz walnuts, finely chopped
225g/8oz butter, softened, plus extra for greasing
225g/8oz caster sugar
4 large eggs, beaten

Buttercream ||

125g/4½oz butter, softened
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp milk
250g/9oz icing sugar
1tsp coffee mixed with 2tbsp boiling water (Let it cool first.)

Caramelised walnuts ||

100g/3½oz caster sugar
10 walnut halves
2 tbsp water.

Boiled icing ||

2 large egg whites
350g/12oz caster sugar
¼ tsp cream of tartar
4 tbsp water

Equipment |
Mixing bowls.
3 8inch cake tins.
Oven at 180c.
pan of boiling water.
Electric mixer.

Step 1 |
Get all your ingredients and weigh them out ready for your baking. I find it easier to have all my ingredients measured out so that its one less thing to do when I'm baking.

 Step 2 |
Cream together the butter and sugar until you have a smooth paste.

 Step 3 |
Add the eggs one by one, mixing after each egg is added. If it looks like its splitting, add a little of your flour to stop this happening.

Step 4 |
Chop your walnuts into small pieces. If they are to big then they will sink to the bottom of your sponges while they bake.

Step 5 |
Add the flour, baking powder and walnuts to the sugar, butter and egg mixture. Fold the ingredients together until your have a cake batter with no lumps of flour visible.

 Step 6 |
Evenly split your mix between three cake tins. I didn't have three tins so I had to bake mine one at a time. I baked them for about 25minutes.

Step 7 |
While the cakes are baking you can make a start on the coffee butter cream. I mixed the icing sugar and butter together and made a smooth paste. I made it really thick to make sure that when the coffee was added, it wasn't to runny. I made up some coffee with 2tsp and a few drops of water. I added the coffee one spoon at a time and kept tasting it. Some people prefer a stronger coffee taste so add coffee until you are happy with the taste.

Step 8 |
To make the caramel add the sugar and water to a pan and heat on a low heat until the sugar has dissolved. DO NOT stir it because it will ruin your caramel. Once the sugar has dissolve, turn the heat up high and let it bubble away. Let it keep bubbling and occasionally swirl it round in the pan by moving the pan itself, don't use anything to mix it. When its golden brown take it off the heat and add the walnuts. Swirl them until they are coated and take them off, put them onto either grease proof paper or a silence mat. I used the rest of the Caramel to make caramel buttons.

 Step 9 |
When your cakes are cool, put them on a plate or cake turn table and put butter cream on the first and second layer. Let it set and then you can start your boiled icing.

Step 10 |
Put the sugar, water, cream of tartar and eggs whites into a bowl. Put the bowl over a pan of simmering water and use an electric wish to mix it all. Do this until it forms stiff peaks and looks glossy. When its done take it off the heat and spread all over the cake. It doesn't have to be smooth on the cake, make it look like it has little peaks all over it. Add the caramelised walnuts and caramel decoration, then your done and its time to enjoy your cake.

Here's what the cake looked like when it was done. I have had a lot of good reviews about this cake so I hope you like it too. Let me know if your make this and send me pictures of your bakes thought my social media, links below.

Lazy day |

Hello lovelies,

I'm in such a good mood today and I just feel all wintry and cosy. After waiting all weekend, I had today off and it was just so lovely. That's sounds a little weird but the weather was perfect for a lazy day. I was a toasty and warm while everyone else was outside in the pouring rain. There's nothing I love more than being inside hearing heavy rain hit my windows. Its just quite soothing.

I didn't have to set my alarm which was like heaven. I love days when you do have to worry about what time you get up, alright when I heard my dad leave, I thought I'd slept in until 2:30. My dad does late's this week and I thought I had slept far later thank should have done. Thankfully my dad went out to halfords so I actually woke up at 10. It's still late but that meant I had an extra 4 hours of my day that I thought I had lost in the land of sleep.

I've spent the day buried under my duvet and the worlds softest blanket, my head resting on my most comfiest pillows and I've been watching the two episodes of the apprentice I missed last week (It was great), the bake off masterclass and top gear repeats on Dave. Just last week me and two people at work were chatting about who we all wanted a duvet day, just a day of doing nothing and lounging around. How do you have the perfect lazy day? Do you watch films, sleep or just spent the day in a fort of duvets and snacks (The last one was basically me today.)

It's been nice to have a day out of everything. No work or stress for the day, just well deserved me time. I think I need to make time each week to just have a day like today. I feel all refreshed and ready for the rest of the week now. I'm also going to watch a horror film tonight which I will be reviewing on Friday.

Have you all had a nice day? Let me know in the comments what you got up to.

Lots of love,
Chloe xxx

What am I doing? |

Hello lovelies,
I wanted to post this today because I feel like I have no clue what I'm doing anymore. My life just seems like such a blur at the minute. I'm either at work, blogging or spending time with my family. I love all these things but I feel like I'm not going anywhere. I feel like I'm working full time, which is silly because I work 16 hours a week. When I'm not at work I'm at home writing for my blog, which I love because its the one thing that I can devote hours to and not get bored.

Recently I have had the same question popping up in different conversations. My sister and a women from work have both had the concerned talk of "Well what are you going to do with your life, surely you don't want to spend the rest of your life in a supermarket cafe". I know they don't mean in it a rude way, I just feel like I'm not doing what I should be. I don't have the drive to work up in London in a high pressure job. They both asked what I love doing, for me that's baking and blogging. The probable with baking is that there's no money in it unless you are an amazing baker with a plethora of skills. I can't tell people that I would love to be a full time blogger. For most people that's just an unrealistic dream. My writing isn't good enough for me to do it full time and my blog is tiny compared to the big bloggers out there who have thousands of views each day.

I guess I'm just stuck at the minute of what my life is. I'm not really living it, that's an odd thought to realise that your not living but your existing. I'm happy with my job, sure its not the dream but I have a laugh at work. I get paid to do a pretty simple job, work with some really funny people and be polite to customers for 16 hours a week. I know that's not enough for most people but even though I don't get paid for it, I see my blog as my job. Its just a non profit blog (I like that) that I'm so proud of. I love how my life is plain and boring to people looking in from the outside. I love how after a really shit (Sorry for swearing) day at work, I come home and get into my snuggly pyjamas, light a candle and settle down to an evening of blogging.

I just feel like I'm letting my parents down. My sister has the goal of working full time in London and whenever she says about me working where I do. My parents always say "she's happy doing what she'd doing so just let her". I feel like the child that's just going nowhere in life and it makes me feel like they don't believe I could have a full time job in the city. They have no clue that I have this blog, I love that because this is my little hobby that just goes by un-noticed. I think I'm happy just plodding along doing what I'm doing, I would love to just blog full time and get paid millions a year but god knows that's not realistic.

I also feel like I'm really weird. I had my guinea pig out the other day and my sister just laughed. My animals mean a lot to me and I care about them. Yes I do have a voice for my guinea pig, I don't think that strange because I know people who give their pets voices. She said to me "My god you're just so...." and that where she stopped. She said she wasn't going to say what because it would upset me. Its been bugging me ever since she said it. I'm just so what? Its a strange little existence that I have but am I portraying myself to other people as some weird girl who's stuck in her own story. Sorry I know I'm rambling but I just needed to empty my mind of everything.

What should I do? You all know what I want from life, I've told you all numerous times. I want to get married, have children and be happy. Is that to plain and simple, should I want more? I'm just a little puzzled now as to where people think my life should be going, what I should be doing and I'm doubting my life as it is an awful lot.

Oh well, I'm off to my little job where I will no doubt be spoken to like dirt. I'm off to have a laugh with the girls and boys at work, see you all later. Tell me your thoughts in the comments. Do you have people asking you the same question and how do you work it out?

Lots of love,
Chloe xxx

The lush tag |

Hello lovelies,
Today I thought I would do the lush tag. I'm sorry if you are here looking for today's lush review, I will be doing that next week but I was really excited to do this tag. I saw this on Emma Blackerys channel a few days ago and i wanted to share my answers with you. I might let myself have two favourites for  each, just know that these are pretty big decisions for a lushie like me.

What is your favourite product?
My favourite lush product...This is a very hard questions. For the lush products that are available all year round, I would have to say the love lettuce face mask. This makes my skin feel so soft and healthy. I need to get a new one soon, I did a blog post all about this face mask. It smells like lavender and its just so good and relaxing to use.

What is your favourite ballistic?
I love most of the bath bombs from lush so this is very tricky. If I want a no thrills bath that still makes me feel great, I would say that the butterball is my favourite. This one isn't full of pretty colours but the oils in it are fantastic for the skin and leave you feeling really soft and cosy. For a colourful bath then I think I would say the luxury lush pud. This is only out at Christmas but I adore this ballistic. Its so colourful and it smells incredible.

What is your favourite bubble bar?
Comforter bubble bar! This smells like ribeana and it makes incredibly soft bubbles. It also makes the water turn a really pretty pink, whats not to love?

What is your favourite bath melt?
I don't really use the bath melts from lush. Ive only tried the you've been managed. I did really like it but they are quite expensive and this bath melt wasn't that big. It was nice but I just don't think that I need the bath melts.

What is your favourite soap?
I don't like using the soaps from lush, they make my skin feel really rough and papery (Does anyone know what I mean?). Ive only ever tried one, that was the yog nog soap that they bring out at Christmas. Although I didn't like the soap I loved the smell. They have out that scent into a
bath bomb this year so I am very happy about that.

What is your favourite shower gel?
Snow fairy. This is my favourite scent from lush and I have to get a big bottle whenever they get it in. Its just so sweet smelling and it makes me feel all christmassy.

What is your favourite limited edition product?
since Ive already mentioned snow fairy, I will say that my favourite limited edition product is the lord of misrule bath ballistic. This is another one of my favourites from lush and I really want them to put this into there all year round range. Its smells like vanilla and pepper and its just such a beautiful scent to fill your bath with.

How many kitchen products have you had?
Ive only ever had one lush kitchen product, that was the milk bottle bubble bar which is now available in the stores. It was nice but I don't think I would get it again.

How long have your been a lushie?
Since November 2013. I used to hate the smell of the shop but then I went in and then I was hooked. I also used to be scared of lush, when I was little they had a silver women outside the shop. You know those people statues, well when I went near it the women moved. I was petrified of the shop which is a shame because now I can't get enough.

I tag all the lovely beau bloggers and if your are a lushie like me, please do this tag and leave your links in the comments.

Lots of love,

Film review | Sweeney Todd

Hello lovelies,
I'm reviewing this excellent Tim Burton film, Sweeney Todd today and I can't wait to share my thoughts on the film with you all. I had never really been interested in seeing this film/play because I just thought it was a very long musical. That sounds terrible but our school did the musical and well, it sort of ruins it when you see a bunch of school children ruin all the songs (No offence). Even though this is an 18, I first watched this when I was about 15. I watch so many horror films that blood and guts don't really phase me in films anymore.

Here's what it says IMDb about Sweeney Todd "In the Victorian London, the barber Benjamin Barker is married to the gorgeous Lucy and they have a lovely child, Johanna. The beauty of Lucy attracts the attention of the corrupt Judge Turpin, who falsely accuses the barber of a crime that he did not commit and abuses Lucy later after gaining custody of her. After fifteen years in exile, Benjamin returns to London under the new identity of Sweeney Todd, seeking revenge against Turpin. He meets the widow Mrs. Lovett who is the owner of a meat pie shop who tells him that Lucy swallowed arsenic many years ago, and Turpin assigned himself tutor of Johanna. He opens a barber shop above her store, initiating a crime rampage against those who made him suffer and lose his beloved family."

I think even though this film is filled with violence, I still really love it. I just think its an excellent story an I like the relationship between Sweeney Todd and Mrs Lovett. One of the main reasons I watched this film was to see Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. I love them both for their acting and I especially love them together in films. Mixed with great onscreen chemistry and brilliant script writing, the pair really bring the film to life. Its safe to safe they I wouldn't even eat from Mrs Lovetts pie shop but the musical numbers between the pair are phenomenal.

My favourite songs from the film are; Not while I'm around, No place like London and worst pies in London. I just love the lyrics and I just love how well written and sung they are. The one thing that really puts me off this film is that apparently this is based on a true story. I never knew this but I was quite shocked. I love the film but if its true then its horrible to think that this actually happened. Its on thing to see it happen on screen but when it connects to peoples lives it become even more gory. Like I said, apparently this is a true story but even if its not is it still bad that I think this is an incredible film. I would go and watch this at the theatre to see how the movie and the show compare. I don't think it will be as good as it won't have two of the worlds greatest performers in it, but I would like to watch it and see.
