Nutella bread |

Hello lovelies

A few weeks ago I baked Nutella bread and it tasted amazing. I felt like I had to share it with you all because this is the one thing I was properly proud of. Now forgive me but the measurement's are in cup measurements. This baffled me a little bit I'm sure you will all be fine.

Ingredients |
1/2 tsp yeast.
1 cup of warm water.
2 1/2 cups of flour.
1 tsp salt.
1tbsp sugar.
Nutella (1/2 a cup but if you want more I'm not going to stop you. I added more. It was good.).


Equipment |
Mixing bowl.
Wood spoon. 
Cup measurement cups (That made sense in my head, lets just go with it).
Pre heated oven.
Sieve.
Baking tray.
Cooling rack.

Step 1 |
Pre heat your oven to about 180c and prepare your baking tray.

Step 2 |
Sieve all your dry ingredients into a bowl. You don't have to sieve it but I prefer working with a smooth dough.




Step 3 |
Make a small well in the middle of the dry ingredients and start to add your water. You will find you have quite a wet dough but just keep kneading it as it will build up the gluten strand and to make it more manageable. Knead your dough for about 10minutes if you are doing it by hand, about 3 minutes if you are using a mixer with a dough hook.




Step 4 |
Set your sough aside to prove for about an hour. While you wait you can either tidy up or do what I did and sing and dance around the kitchen to the Micheal buble Christmas album (Its never to early).

Step 5 |
When the rough has risen and has been proving for about an hour, get the dough and roll it out into an oval shape. Well maybe a square but this is just how mine turned out.


Step 6 |
Pop your nutella in a bowl and melt it for a bit in the microwave to make it more spreadable. I did mine for 20 seconds so try it and see what you think.


Step 7 |
Spread your Nutella all over the dough, making sure to leave about an inch boarder so the Nutella doesn't escape your dough.


Step 8 |
Roll your dough and then cut it down the middle but down get it all the length, leave about 2-3 inches at the top.


Step 9 |
Take the pieces and twist them around each other. Try to keep the Nutella facing you and not at the side of the twist. Once you have done this, put it aside to prove for another 30mintues or so.


Step 10 |
Bake your bread for about 20 minutes on 180c and then raise the temperature to 220c until its golden brown on top, about 5-7 minutes. Take it out of the oven and leave it to cool, if you can. This tasted really nice hot so try a teeny tiny bit just to make sure you did a fantastic job.


I hope you liked that post. This bread did actually taste amazing and I'm going to be making more this week. It may look a little disgusting but I promise you that that's forgotten when you try it.
