Kinder bueno cookie cake | Fail

Hello lovelies
From the title you may all be a little confused. Don't worry I've not gone mad. Now I set out make cookies, I followed a recipe (Well I added a tiny bit of self raising flour, maybe that was a mistake) and well...they were basically cakes. I was expecting a cookie and it looks like a cookie but is actually a cake. Therefore I have created the coocake. Is it a word? who knows to be honest but I'm going with it. If you want to know how to make this mad creation then please read on. If not please just tell the baking police because I've created something that's definitely not right. Your challenge, should you choose to accept is to follow the recipe and see if yours turn out as cookies. I want to know if its just what I did wrong or just a weird recipe.

Ingredients |
2 Eggs.
170g plain flour.
85g Brown sugar.
85g caster sugar.
85g butter.
2tbsp cocoa powder.
1/2tsp bicarbonate of soda.
2 kinder buenos.

Equipment |
Sieve.
Mixing bowl.
Spoon.
Scales.
Baking tray.
Cooling rack.

Step 1 |
Sieve your flour, cocoa powder and bicarb into a bowl. Now here's where I think I went wrong. I didn't have 170g of plain flour, I only had 130g's. Now I wasn't going to buy a whole new pack so like I always do I just grabbed what I had. I added 40g's of self raising flour.

 Step 2 |
Add all the rest of the ingredient's but leave out the kinder bueno. I sieved the sugar just to get any lumps out. Not that it would have made a difference to this crime against baking. Mix all your ingredients together until they resemble a cookie dough (I'm just guessing here. At this point mine resembled a cake mix).

step 3 |
Break up the kinder bueno and add it to the mix. Once you have done that. Put your cookie mixture onto your baking tray lined with greaseproof. I added a piece on kinder bueno on top as well. Bake for 10-13minutes and then leave to cool.

Step 4 |
Get your cookakes out and let them cool. I'm not really sure where to go form here. Someone, anyone make these and please tell me how they went for you. I'm think they went like cakes because of the addition of self raising flour. If not then please just let me know where I went wrong.

The cookakes tasted pretty good. I like cookies and I like cake. For me it was a win win situation but if your looking for cookies, give it a go and see what happens. Its was probably my mistake. I know this wasn't technically a proper baking post but I'm not a perfectionist and I think this just proves that.

Lots of love,
Chloe xxx
