Film review | Panic room

Hello lovelies
Today I'm going to be reviewing panic room. I first watched this film about six years ago and I loved it. I just loved the suspense that got you hooked to the storyline. The story basically plays out in the home of Jodie fosters character, Meg Altman. I really love how they don't keep on moving to different locations because its gives the viewer a chance to work out the surroundings and then you can sort of plan along, how she could get around the house without being noticed.

Here's what it says online about panic room "Recently divorced Meg Altman and her daughter Sarah have bought a new home in New York. On their tour around the mansion, they come across the panic room. A room so secure, that no one can get in. When three burglars break in, Meg makes a move to the panic room. But all her troubles don't stop there. The criminals know where she is, and what they require the most in the house is in that very room.".

I really enjoyed the suspense and I think that was the main thing that kept me intrigued to watch more. I know that hardly anyone has a panic room in their home but the fear of intruders is something that I think we all have. I think it makes us think about what we would do in that situation, would you co operate with them, would you hide under a bed and I think that's what I enjoyed. I loved the chase between Meg and the burglars because your are rooting for her to beat them and get back to the panic room in time.

I will admit that there were some parts that I was genuinely scared of. When she needs to get out of the panic room to go and get her daughters medication it's brilliant how they film it to show the chase between Meg and the burglars to get back to the panic room.

Even though I shouldn't like the burglars, I really like the character called burnham. Granted he's the bad guy but when he is in the panic room with the other burglar and mega daughter, he helps her and makes sure she's okay. Also at the end when the other man is attacking Meg and when he goes to smash her head burnham shoots him to protect meg and her family.  It doesn't sound good but he saves both me and her daughter.

Overall I really loved this film and I would love to see more films like this. Have you seen panic room? Let me know in the comments.

Lots of love,
Chloe xxx
