Film review | Frozen

Hello lovelies
Today I'm going to be reviewing frozen. This is one that I have wanted to review for a few months now, but unfortunately I haven't got round to it. Frozen is an excellent Disney film and made its way into my favourites for many reasons, one being the music. Also my little cousin absolutely loves frozen and its so lovely to see how happy this film makes her.

Here's what it says online about frozen "When their kingdom becomes trapped in perpetual winter, fearless Anna (Kristen Bell) joins forces with mountaineer Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his reindeer sidekick to find Anna's sister, Snow Queen Elsa (Idina Menzel), and break her icy spell. Although their epic journey leads them to encounters with mystical trolls, a comedic snowman (Josh Gad), harsh conditions, and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff bravely push onward in a race to save their kingdom from winter's cold grip."

Now I'm going to go ahead and assume the everyone has seen frozen. If you advent this this post will contain an awful lot of spoilers. I really love the whole story and I think it fit the Disney theme perfectly Like most of the princesses we are met with a tragic back story which meant that Anna and Elsa were orphans as there parents died when they were in there teens/adult lives. This is common for all Disney films and I didn't expect anything less. I liked it because it actually saw the two sisters int eh palace ruling over arendelle as apposed to other princesses that didn't have that power yet.

Like so many others, Elsa is my favourite and I think this is just because I connect so much more with her that I do with Anna. Elsa has magical powers which means she can make snow and ice. She struggles to control this power and doesn't want to be near Anna as when they were little she hit Anna with her powers and almost killed her.  I like the fact that Elsa distances herself from people because its something a lot of people can sympathise with.

Even though Elsa is my favourite that doesn't mean I dislike the rest. I love Olaf, Kristoff and Anna because their personalities are just so great. I sort of guessed that Anna and Kristoff would get together in the end from the moment we first me him. I think the two work so well together and really balanced each other out. Olaf is just so kind and funny and I think we all wish that we had a little guy like him around to make us smile. I also love how at the end when he is with Anna, when she says that he's going to melt  he looks at her and simply says "Some people are worth melting for" basically saying that she means so much to him that he was willing to die. Can snowmen die? I don't know but that's whats he's basically saying.

I think that the ending was most special to me. The trolls said that only an act of true love could thaw a frozen heart. When Elsa hits Anna with her ice power, she freezes her heart and we don't find out until the end that its not an act of true love from a man. It can be an act of true love from family. I think this is really special and sends out such a great message to children that you don't need to be in a relationship to be happy or to be saved.

What did you all think of frozen? Let me know in the comments.

Lots of love,
Chloe xxx
