Film review | The worlds end

This weeks film review is part of the corntetto trilogy. The cornetto trilogy is made up of Shaun of the dead, Hot fuzz and the worlds end. This is probably my second favourite of the three films because while I still loved the story line, I just don't think it lived up to my high expectations after hot fuzz.

Here's what it says online about the worlds end "Gary King (Simon Pegg) is an immature 40-year-old who's dying to take another stab at an epic pub-crawl that he last attempted 20 years earlier. He drags his reluctant buddies back to their hometown and sets out for a night of heavy drinking. As they make their way toward their ultimate destination -- the fabled World's End pub -- Gary and his friends attempt to reconcile the past and present. However, the real struggle is for the future when their journey turns into a battle for mankind."

Like all the cornetto trilogy films, this features Simon pegg and nick frost as the main characters. The thing I loved most about this film is that it was the last of the cornetto trilogy and they made it s brilliant. They also left me guessing when they would show or mention a cornetto. It comes right at the end, which I didn't think would happen as in all the other films its mentioned near the beginning.

I also loved how there was more character development for the other characters. Unlike the other films, even though it has its two main characters it also focused heavily on the others which I really liked. I think it gave you a much deeper understanding on what each character was like and little things to look out for during the film that jut didn't seem right.

The one thing I would say is that it seem more like a sequel to the film Paul which involved an alien. I know it wasn't meant to be a sequel to hot fuzz but I feel like the genre of sci fi is more heavily present in this film and I think it just makes it different from the rest of the comedy horror/ gore that's present in Shaun of the dead and hot fuzz.

I hope you liked my review of the world end. Have you seen this film? What did you think?

Bye for now xxx
