Film review | Scream

Hello
Today I want to review my favourite film franchise, Scream. I loved these films because I love a good horror. I'm going to talk about each film in the series and say what I like and don't like about each one. I would have made separate posts for each film but I think you would have got a little bored.

Scream 1 |
Here's what it says online about the film "One year after the death of Sidney Prescott's (Campbell) mother, two students turn up gutted. When a serial killer appears, Sidney begins to suspect whether her mother's death and the two new deaths are related. No one is safe, as the killer begins to pick everyone off one by one. Everyone is a suspect in this case" The first film in the series was, for me, one of the best ones there is. It was one of the first horror films I watched and I love the plot line. I think because so many people was suspects, I was also doubting who it was and was shocked by the ending. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that in this film, even though Sidney doesn't know whats going to happen. She always picks up the phone and never calls the police before its to late.

Scream 2 |

Scream 2 was always a bit of a disappointment for me. I just don't think it lived up to the first film. It was a little slow going and I just think it was to easy to guess the killer. Here's what it says online about it, "Two years after the events of Scream, Sidney Prescott and Randy are attending Windsor college. They are trying to get on with their lives...Until a new Ghostface killing spree begins. With the help of Dewey and Gale, Sidney must find out who's behind the murders. As the body count goes up, the list of suspects goes down." I don't know why but for me it seemed quite clear who the killer was almost from the start.

Scream 3 |
This is one of the best films of the series. Here's what it says online about scream 3 "A new film is currently in production, and a killer is on the loose. The murders draw a reporter, ex-cop, and young woman to the set of the movie inspired by their life. They soon find out that they are dealing with a trilogy, and in a trilogy...anything can happen.". I love this film because this is the one where they are making a movie based on the murders. We see Sidney in the set of her home being chased by the killer. I think this one is brilliant because it really makes you think about who the killer is and it keeps you in suspense.

Scream 4 |
The last film in the series was good but I felt it could have been so much better. I did really love it but I felt it was missing something. I don't know what but I think it just needed another little plot twist to make it perfect. Here's what it says online about it "Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately, Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghost face, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.". I really liked the twist at the end, it was a really good ending but I just think that it could have had something else that really made it spectacular.

What are your opinions of the scream films? Let me know in the comments.

Bye for now xxx
