Today I wanted to chat to you all about Ukuleles, for those of you who don't know what a Ukulele is, its basically a mini guitar with only four strings.

I wanted a ukulele after watching the video to McFly's video for their song love is easy, Tom plays a little pink ukulele and I really wanted to learn how to play it, so after going on at my dad for a few months  he gave in and got me one. My dad got me a pink one, because you know I wanted one that looked like Tom Fletcher's. So here's the one I got.

Because I was clearly doing so well, even though I could only play somewhere over the rainbow, well just the chorus, (I cant really play anything else but I give it a good try.) my dad got me a Les Paul ukulele which was amazing, I was so happy and its such a cool instrument, I'm hoping to learn to play it properly but I like to play it when the house is empty because I'm embarrassed at how bad I actually am, so hopefully if I get a bit of time to myself, I can learn to play it properly.

Anyone play any instruments, if so what do you play?

Lush haul

There's a slight chance that I went in lush a few days ago and spent a little bit to much, but is there such thing as to much lush? Well probably but lets move on, this wont be a long post but I'm thought I would show the bits I got from lush and then chat about my excitement for the Halloween and Christmas range.

The first Bath ballistic I got was sakura and it smells incredible, I'm not great at describing scents but this is sweet smelling with what I think is a small hint of lemon. I really love the colours on this bath ballistic and I cant wait to see what happens when it hits the water.

Dragons egg
Ive had Dragons egg before and I thought I was lovely, when its dropped in the bath it makes the water a little bit misty and releases what I can only describe as little disks of multicoloured soap that quickly dissolves. This smells fizzy and that sounds very weird but its smells like fizzy sweets, and its nice but quite strong so I would not recommend this if you want a relaxing bath that's has a light fragrance because for me this is quite strong.

Comforter bubble bar
I had to get two of these comforter bubble bars because they smell so tasty, I've never eaten one don't worry but they smells makes you want something of that taste. To me this smells like blackcurrant and its so lovely in the bath. I only use a little bit in a bath but it makes the water a beautiful pink colour and it makes everything smell amazing.

Another one I've had before is twilight which turns the bath a turquoise colour, which shocked me a bit but its only a pink shell which is slightly disappointing but it smells chistmassy (Yes that is a work which I have just made up) and lovely which is really nice and relaxing.

Tisty tosty
I wanted to try this one for ages and its called tisty tosty and I'm really glad I finally got it, this is really cute and has dried flowers in it, to me it smells a bit like lavender with a strong hint of rose, so it can be a little overpowering but because it looks cute I can just leave it for display until I fancy a lavender bath.

Bubbleroon is so lovely it smells like cocoa butter and it held together by a tiny bit of soap, this make really nice smelling bubbles in the bath and just makes everything smell really lovely and to me this is the smell of autumn.

This bath melt looked nice and I've heard that's its really lovely and leaves your skin feeling all soft and hydrated. Its smells really nice and creamy with a little hint of sweetness,

Space girl
Space girl makes the bath a little glittery but it smells really nice and fruity, mainly of grapefruit and its really refreshing, so it would be nice to use for a morning bath to Wake yourself up.

Butterball is my absolute favourite, it has a lovely scent of cocoa butter and when you put it in the bath it makes your skin feel incredibly soft and moisturised.

Brightside bath comforter smells like oranges and lemons, and makes the bath a vibrant orange, this smells great and makes really silky bubbled in the bath.

Granny takes a dip
Granny takes a dip is one that I've wanted to try and been debating whether or not to get it for a few weeks now. It smells like sherbet and just looks like its going to look amazing in the bath, now to make this last a bit longer, I might try and use one colour at a time, well if I can break them apart.

Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment
This bath melt smelt to indulgent to resist, it smells like marshmallows and if that wasn't a good enough reason to buy it then I don't actually have a valid excuse as to why I needed it.

Bubblegum lip scrub
I've never really used lip scrubs but I feel I need it for the winter, you see in previous years I've had time off at Christmas when its really old, so my lips never really got chapped but because I will be working all Christmas and waiting at the train station in the cold, I feel I need a nice lip scrub to keep my lips nice, moisturised and apparently smelling like bubblegum.

BB seaweed face mask
Because I spent a bit in lush I got a free sample of the BB seaweed face mask, which apparently is beautifying, I mean its not worked yet but I'm hopeful for the future haha.

All of my lush products sit nicely in my pink bowl which I needed to find a use for, this is the one area of my room that I love, simply on the basis that it smells incredible.

Thanks for reading.

Thing that annoy me

I hope you are all having lovely weekends or had lovely weekends depending on where you live. So I was thinking yesterday about the thing that really annoy me, and this can be things that people I know do, strangers or jsut things that really buf me for no apparent reason.

So i'm jsut going to list all of the things that annoy me and for some of them I might explain them but if not im sure you will understand why they annoy me.

  • Noisy eaters.
  • Loud music. (Now I dont mind loud music if its mine, but when Im trying to think or watch tv, or read then I cant have other peoples music on in the backgound).
  • Poeplpe who pick their nails. (Its not that Im concerned for the health of their nails or anything, I jsut hate the sound it makes, maybe I have  super sensitive ears but I can always here when people pick their nails.).
  • spiders.
  • Messy rooms- My room is always a mess so you know, I live with the annoyance becuase as it try to explain to my mum, by the time ive actually tidied my room within about a day its messy agian, what can I say, Circle of life or something to that extent.
  • nail biters- I used to bite my nails all the time, but I havent bitten them for a year now, dont worry ive cut them, I havent got super long nails but I just dont see the point in biting your nails and the sound annoys me.
  • People who come in your room and look- Let me explain; My dad and my sister have this thing where whenever they enter a room, they cant help but look at everything and I dont mean thinkgs like posters or decrotion, I mean they read your stuff. For example the other day my dad came in my room and I could see him lookign at a letter on my side and then he was looking at my calender. I hate it when people do that, I think its an invasion of privacy but my dad and sister have always done it, so Ive sort of got used to it, as much as it annoys me.
  • Delicious food- No matter how well I do on a diet, I alwsys seem to end up eating some deliocious food, its like its drawn to me and then the diet is ruined, once again.
  • people who spit on the ground.
  • Loud teenagers who shout abuse at people they walk past.
  • Slow internet connections
  • Bullying
  • Stubbing your toe
  • Adverts in between programmes- sometimes advert are useful if you need a wee, but during films I don't like adverts.
  • People reading over your shoulder
  • People jumping the queue
  • Over packaged products- For example, scissors that are in so much packaging that you need the product insdide the packaging to open the product!
  • Trying to find the end of the sticking tape
So I hope that was insightful to my life or something like that, anything that really annoys you?

My recently played songs on itunes

This is going to be one of the most boring posts I'm going to write, and to be honest I was really struggling to think of a Post this weeks. So here is a list of my recently played on iTunes. To be fair there is a film in my recently played, because I don't know how to just get the songs, unfortunately I'm not that technologically minded.

Some of my music choices are a bit dated, but I find the best music comes from the 60's, 70's and 80's so that's why there is some of the Beatles music in this mix.

Just to point out, I know that Harry Potter and the half-blood prince isn't music, but its a great film and the instrumental music throughout the film is also pretty good.

So the last song on iTunes I listened to was One and only by Adele, I love this song and basically anything by Adele but this has to be one of my favourites, the lyrics are just so beautifully written and yeah basically that's why I love it.

Now I know what some of you may be thinking, "Its only September why is she listening to Christmas songs" my answer to that is simple, its never to early to listen to a bit of Christmas music especially last Christmas. I love most Christmas songs, but since I was little this has been my favourite, well this and all I want for Christmas, that's a cracking Christmas tune, if you'll pardon the pun, get it Christmas and at Christmas you have crackers, just me who found that funny, never mind I'll move on.

If you could see me now by the script is a song that I listen to when I find myself thinking about my nan, this sounds weird but this song is great for expressing how I feel. Not a day goes by where I don't think about my nan, even though she died when I was a baby, I think about her everyday and one of the lyrics in this song is "If you could see me now would you recognise me?" and "Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow, Oh if you could see me now". Now I know that if my nan could see all of my family now, my mum, sister, uncle and aunt and her children that she would be nothing but proud, but I cant help but have the knowledge that if she were to appear in front of me tomorrow, she wouldn't recognise me and I always wonder what would be her opinion of the person Ive become as Ive grown up and made my life decisions. I just hope that I'm making her proud with the things that I do and still after 16 years I miss her all the time, even though I was a baby when she sadly died Ive been told about the women she was and how caring she was towards people, and that makes me miss her everyday.

wow, I went of on a tangent there didn't I, I best get back on track. You could be happy by snow patrol is one of those songs that I love to listen to whatever mood I'm in, Luckily my dad had incredibly taste in music and that has influence my taste, so while I was rummaging through his CD collection, I stumbled cross the snow patrol album and fell in love with their music.

Cracking out a bit of Beyoncé is what I like to do when my house is empty, you cant help but dance to Beyoncé and because I'm considerate towards my family, I mainly play this when they are all out so they don't have to see my terrible Beyoncé moves.

Fast car by Tracey Chapman is my favourite songs from the 80's, I have my dad to thank for playing me this song so I thankfully know this songs exists, its amazing and so are the rest of Tracey Chapman's songs, Its funny because the last time I listened to this song, I was actually in a car which makes the listening experience that little bit better (I've just realised that I must sound like the most pathetic person alive but hey, this is how I like to write.).

Now its getting good, Love is on the radio by McFly is amazing, but the version where Giovanna Fletcher is singing (Tom Fletcher's wife) is well, I cant even describe it, her voice is amazing and I could listen to her version for hours on end and not get bored.

Jack Johnson is great for feel good music and that's why I've been listening to Better together, I just find this song so upbeat and summery, is it weird to find music summery?

Help! by the Beatles is just perfect, I mean I love music by the Beatles, I like to think its because I have impeccable taste in music, others would say its because I'm weird and are to Young to know their music but what do they know?

So I hope you all enjoyed my nattering on about the recently played songs, and going of on a tangent at various point during this post.

A magical day at Harry Potter studios

So this is an exciting post for me simply on the basis that I can write about my long awaited trip to the Harry Potter studios. Now I took quite a lot of photos so whether I upload them all is undecided simply on the fact that there are 406 and that's just from my camera.

The say stared of with me waking up at 8am to get ready and make myself look averagely nice for the day, after that there was then two hour journey to look forward two. My first train took about 40 minutes then all that was left was to waddled round to the tube and then get on a few different trains until we got to watford. All I'm going to say is that I feel for my first car I actually want to have the Harry Potter studios bus because that is one awesome mode of transport.

When we got there I was so excited I mean even the outside of the studio is so impressive and the giant chess pieces are so cool. When we got in there I was overwhelmed with the pictures on the walls and the ford Anglia hanging from the celling, We queued up for about half an hour to get into the small little room where the women started chatting about what we would see. Little tip for you; There's something that happens right after this through the doors, so when you get in there look at the 4 doors and go to the one furthest to your left and make sure you use that door as I guarantee you will want front row for what happens after that.

The great hall was incredible and it was so weird being in there because after watching the films it seems so weird that you are on the set that was used in the films. I took so many pictures in here because there was just so much to see, the uniforms of all the houses, the detail on the walls which you don't really notice in the films, and the most amazing part was seeing all the house points at the front of the great hall.

The next part was so good, you go into another massive room which is filled with all different props and sets, one of my favourite was the giant ice sculpture replica from the goblet of fire which looked phenomenal. It was really good to see all the wigs that the actors wore and the costumes all lined up. I think I was most excited to see the potions class set and Dumbledore's office simply because all my favourite scenes from the films took place in these rooms. I also got to see the gryffindor common rooms, Harry's bedroom that's shared with the others in Hogwarts. One of my other favourite sets was the kitchen of the Burrow, I think its so creative and you can touch these little pad type things that make things happen like the washing up does it self, the knitting needles start working and its just so fun to watch.

I also loved the little display that had all of the horcruxes in, its weird to think that in the films these represented part of Voldemorts soul and I was just so amazed by the detail on all of them. I wont lie to you I really wanted to ride the broomstick but it cost £15 and lets just say its a good job I didn't as I spent a little too much in the gift shop.

I was excited to see the quidditchcostumes and the  equipment, and also you say the chamber of secrets door, the gringots door and so many other amazing things. the costumes in the Malfoy manor part were brilliant and I love seeing Bellatrixes costumes, So much detail is on that dress and its absolutely brilliant. One of the bits I found most interesting is the ministry of magic statue, the detail of that is incredible and it just looks so overwhelming to be standing right next to it. I was intrigued to see that on all of dolores umbridge costumes have a cat on it somewhere if you look close enough.

Onto the next section of the tour which took us outside, so that meant Butter beer, triple Decker bus and privet drive. I could not wait to see the bus, I mean its just massive and so exciting that you can actually stand on it, without that sounding to childish. I also tried butter beer which I wasn't to keen on because it tasted like cream soda and I really hate that, it sort of was worth it though because I experience everything there. Voldemorts fathers grave was really cool and felt a bit weird to be standing next to it. I was so happy to see privet drive, it was so great to be next to this iconic house which was the place of misery and closure for Harry in the films. The car and motor bike were also really cool and luckily it was really lovely outside so we could enjoy looking round it a bit more.

The next few sections of the studio were so exciting for me because you got to see the prosthetics for the goblins, all the mechanics of the creatures and Diagon ally!
I was looking forward to seeing all the goblins and the creatures as I've always been fascinated as to how they were created.

Diagon ally was next I cannot tell you how excited I was to walk through it and see all the different shops up close, I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked of diagon ally because my camera died! I think Olivanders was my favourite in there although I must say I was slightly excited by flourish and blotts, anyone who knows me knows how much I love stationery.

The next room was filled with all the drawings of the buildings and plans for everything and the detail in every picture was mind blowing and that's when it sunk in just how much time and detail went into bringing the books to life. I also loved all the paper models which were incredibly detailed.

The iconic Hogwarts castle was next and it was well worth the wait, it felt so special to be standing next to Hogwarts and I know that sounds childish but it was so overwhelming seeing how stunning it looked and how well crafted it was. The last part of the tour was the room right next to the gift shop which was filled with wands which had the names of not only the cast but of the thousands of behind the scenes staff on each box which was amazing, I of course found Daniel Radcliffe's and Alan rickmans which I was quite happy with. My downfall of the day was the amount I spent in the gift shop, I spent a good 40 minutes in there with my arms filled with goodies, I felt the urge to buy all the mugs and cups but I said no! and only spent £97!!!!! I got myself a chocolate frog, fudge flies, peppermint toads, time turner key ring, the Hermione Granger wand (Why I need that I don't know but you know...... impulse buy and all that) Harry Potter studio tour guide, chocolate want, Hogwarts glass and the last thing I got was a pen......Now I like my pens I think we can all agree, but I got this at the till and didn't look at the price I thought it would be like £6 but no it was £10.95!! I appreciate a nice bit of stationery but that is a tad to much for a pen which fair enough does look like a wand but at some point the ink will run out and my heart will break just a little.

All in all I had a fantastic day and was so happy I went, so I would recommend that everyone goes and has this amazing experience.
